prayer and spiritual support at the free clinic

If you have ever visited His Hands Free Clinic before, chances are you have not been to the basement. While only staff and a few volunteers ever venture down there, it is the storage hub for our medical supplies.

We have such an abundant supply, that we are able to offer this equipment to individuals who do not get their medical care here at the clinic, but whose insurance would not cover the cost of the equipment. One woman recently came in for a blood pressure cuff. She said, “I never even knew you were here, but I saw that you offered prayer too, so I came here because I like that.” Some of these basic items are also desperately needed in other countries around the world. The clinic has provided supplies to people in our community going on missions trips, so if you or someone you know, is traveling abroad, call us to arrange a time to pick up some medical supplies. Finally, we also support an agency called Orphan Grain Train. They have a local office in Iowa, but the organization is nationwide. They are connected with medical facilities overseas and will take requests and ship the needed items to countries all around the globe. The organization also sends relief here in the US during natural disasters. We are so grateful for the donations we receive from our community and it is a blessing to be able to make sure those items help others.
