Since 1992, His Hands Free Clinic has been seeking others who have the heart to honor God by helping the uninsured and underinsured in our community. Pharmacy Technician
Join a committed team providing healthcare to individuals without insurance. This rewarding position requires a COVID-19 vaccine and an Iowa Pharmacy Technician license. The medication room technician will be responsible to implement the mission of His Hands Free Clinic under the direction of the Medical Coordinator and supervises medication room volunteers and pharmacy students.
This is a part-time position of 15-20 hours per week. Hours may vary, but in general include:
- Tuesday 9:30am – 4:00pm and 5:00-7:00pm
- Wednesdays & Thursdays 9:30am – 4:00pm
- Staff meetings the first Thursday of the month from 3:30 – 4:30pm
Qualifications:
- Be a committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and is involved in a local church
- Agree with and be willing to uphold the Statement of Faith and Statement of Values
- Familiarity with Iowa Pharmacy practices
- Previous clinic or pharmacy experience preferred
- Iowa Pharmacy Technician license
- Possess excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills
- Be self-motivated, dependable, and responsible
- Be comfortable with talking through an interpreter either in person or over the phone
- Be team oriented
Primary Duties Include:
- Oversee medication room during patient clinics
- Label and fill ordered medications
- Create and maintain patient records
- Review medication requests for accuracy and complete refill orders
- Call medications into pharmacies as directed
- Be a resource for healthcare providers in determining medication availability
- Educate patients on new medication and medication changes as directed
- Direct patient to other medication resources as needed
- Sort, stock and order medication inventory
- Direct and supervise volunteers in the medication room
- Assist patients with medication prescription assistance program sign up and follow up
- Comply with rules, regulations and procedures to maintain a safe medication room
- Undertake administrative tasks such as record keeping, as assigned by the Clinic Coordinator
- Be cross trained to inventory all medications and run reports on pharmacy software
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch and reach overhead
- Ability to maneuver throughout the facility
- Ability to lift 25 pounds
Pay and Benefits:
- Vacation time: 40 hours annually
- Sick Time: 24 hours annually
- Retreat Time: 10 hours annually
- Starting pay $18/hour – wage commiserate with experience

Certified Medical Assistant
Join a committed team providing healthcare to individuals without insurance. This rewarding position requires a COVID-19 vaccine and an unrestricted Iowa Certified Medical Assistant license. The CMA is responsible for implementing the mission of His Hands Free Clinic under the direction of the Medical Coordinator. and reports to the Clinic Supervisor.
This is a part-time position of 25-27 hours per week. Hours for this position are:
- Tuesday 9:30am – 7:00pm
- Wednesday 9:30am – 4:00pm
- Thursday 9:30am – 4:00pm
- Staff meetings the first Thursday of the month from 3:30pm – 4:30pm.
Qualifications:
- Be a committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and is involved in a local church
- 1 – 2 years recent experience in a medical office.
- Agree with and be willing to uphold the Statement of Faith and Statement of Values.
- Possess excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills.
- Be self-motivated, dependable, and responsible.
- Have an active and current unrestricted Iowa Certified Medical Assistant license.
- Be flexible with daily responsibilities.
- Possess strong cross-cultural skills.
- Work well on a team.
Primary Duties Include:
- Provide care while working collaboratively with the team
- Interview patient and record vital signs
- Create and maintain patient records
- Performs select routine laboratory tests
- Educate patients as necessary about health care needs and equipment
- Assist with patient examinations and procedures
- Communicate through an interpreter as needed
- Clean, maintain and stock exam rooms
- Perform routine clinical tasks including answering phone, scheduling appointments and providing information to other departments
- Read email and clinic-related information, attend clinic/department meetings
- Medication room coverage as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch and reach overhead
- Ability to maneuver throughout the facility
- Ability to be on feet for long periods of time. Estimated steps up to 4,000 steps per shift.

Pay and Benefits:
- 30 hours of sick time
- 52.5 hours of vacation time accrued annually
- Holidays paid depending on work schedule
- Pay starting at $20/hour – wage commiserate with experience.

Executive Director
The Executive Director is responsible for implementing the mission of His Hands Free Medical Clinic (HHFMC) as set by the Board of Directors. The Executive Director is a committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and is an active member of a local church. As Executive Director, you agree with and will uphold the Statement of Faith and Statement of Values in your daily work.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Executive Director will serve as ex-officio, non-voting member of the HHFMC Board of Directors. The Executive Director will serve as a liaison between the Clinic and the Board and will provide the Board with all information needed to ensure sound governance of the Clinic. All activities of the Board of Directors will be supported by this position.
Organizational Leadership and Vision.
Create and communicate overall vision and mission of HHFMC in partnership with the Board of Directors and ensure planning and execution of all activities to support the mission and vision. Actively plan and execute Board activities in conjunction with the Chairperson of the Board. Create and propose annual strategic, operating, marketing and financial plans for Board approval and successfully implement. Communicate effectively with the Board and provide, in a timely and accurate manner, progress on plans and information necessary for the Board to function properly and make informed decisions.
Assist the Board in filling Board vacancies.
- Evaluate, plan and implement, with Board approval, the appropriate mix of services and programs to fulfill the mission and vision of HHFMC and meet the needs of the community.
- Create community support that yields essential volunteer efforts and donations.
- Develop, implement and monitor strategic plan, goals and budget and oversee successful fundraising to support them.
- Establish employment and administrative policies and procedures for all functions and for the day-to-day operation of HHFMC.
Ensure financial controls are defined and followed to ensure accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial records and reporting.
Oversee functional operations of HHFMC including clinical oversight, spiritual care, volunteer services, facility management, marketing and human resource. Conduct regular evaluations of programs and services to ensure programs adapt and change as the needs of the community and patients served change.
Other duties as assigned by the Board of Directors.
Team Member Support.
- Direct supervision of department leadership and other team members as assigned.
- Recruit, hire, train and manage team members and volunteers in collaboration with department leadership.
- Lead, coach, develop, and retain high-performing volunteers and team members.
- Provide support to team members through direction in their daily responsibilities, annual evaluations and regular feedback to ensure high-quality performance.
- Plan and implement team building activities to support a positive work environment.
- Set an overall standard of excellence in clinic operations by instilling in team members the values and vision of HHFMC.
Fundraising Efforts.
- Provide leadership in development and implementation of fundraising plans.
- Oversee grant writing efforts, grant awards, and reports
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key constituencies, including grantors, other donors, community partners and the medical community.
External communication
- Manage and monitor all external media including website, social media and news outlet opportunities.
- Represent HHFMC publicly in the community, particularly to media, community agencies and governmental organizations.
Additional Responsibilities.
- Exhibit strong skills in interpersonal communication, public speaking, writing, and effective media relations.
- Provide spiritual leadership, discipleship, encouragement, and direction for staff members and volunteers.
Education, Experience and Qualities
- Bachelors’ Degree in healthcare administration, nursing, public health or social services. Will accept a combination of education and work experience. Master’s preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years in a leadership role at a nonprofit or healthcare clinic.
- Experience in budgeting, strategic planning, program development and process improvement.
- Professional stature to interact with medical providers, donors, government agencies and other health care administrators.
- Passion to lead by example with integrity, strength, and compassion.
- Experience with strengthening philanthropic connections in the community.
- Experience working with diverse populations.
- Experience working with a team that is largely volunteer.
- Experience in fundraising, grant writing, and event planning.
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications.
Salary commensurate with experience.

His Hands Board Member
Board Members of His Hands Free Clinic provide governance to to the clinic to ensure its mission is fulfilled.
Responsibilities:
Attend meetings, share knowledge, resources, and connections. Board meetings are the second Tuesday of odd months from 6 to 8 pm.
Qualifications:
- Be a committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and is involved in a local church.
- Agree with and be willing to uphold the Statement of Faith and Statement of Values.
- Be over the age of 18.
- Have experience the areas needed by the board: nonprofit governance, technology, human resources, building community connections, and fundraising.

Registered Nurse (RN) — Medication Room

The Registered Nurse (RN) — Medication Room is responsible for implementing the mission of His Hands Free Clinic under the direction of the Medical Coordinator. The nurse supervises medication room volunteers and pharmacy students, Clinic Volunteers (when needed),
Hours:
15-20 hours per week, hours may vary. Clinic hours are as follows:
Tuesday 10:00am – 7:00pm
Wednesday 10:00am – 5:00pm
Thursday 10:00am – 5:00pm (with possible later hours 1-2 times a month)
Attendance at staff meetings one Monday per month from 1:00pm until 3:30pm is required.
Qualifications:

- 10 paid Holidays if you are scheduled to work

- 42 hours of vacation time prorated and accrued annually
