World Record Shoe Collection FAQ

  1.  WHO: His Hands Free Clinic
  1.  WHAT: Collecting gently used shoes & sandals of all kinds and all sizes to break the Guinness Book of World Records for most pairs of shoes collected in a week.  Our goal is 250,001 pairs for the week.
  1.  WHEN: June 17 – 21, 2024
  1.  WHERE: Westminster Presbyterian Church, located at 1285 3rd Ave., Cedar Rapids, IA 52403 
  1.  WHY: This is a fundraiser for His Hands.  The clinic will receive $1,000 for every 2,500 pairs collected from an organization organization called Funds2orgs. 

His Hands will use the funds to provide free healthcare services for people in need. 

  1. Funds2orgs will distribute shoes to small businesses in the developing world.  Shoes will also to go local organizations: Mission of Hope, Willis Dady Works, Catherine Mc Auley Center, Metro Catholic Outreach,  and St. Vincent de Paul.  
  1.  HOW: Donate your sneakers, dress shoes, boots, crocs, sandals and flipflops. Men’s, Women’s and children’s sizes are acceptable. Please do not donate shoes with holes, rips or single shoes. We cannot accept Wheelies, ice skates or rollerblades.  If possible, please rubber band pairs together; or if they have laces, please tie them together. 
  1.  There will be PRIZES for the individual and organization that collects the most shoes!!!
