Volunteer with Us.

Volunteers are always needed — everything we do relies on their support. We welcome medical professionals and non-medical helpers alike.

Administrative hours
Monday – Thursday: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Friday: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm (noon)
Clinic hours
Tuesday – Thursday: 10:00 am – 2:00 pm

Medical volunteers

Providers

Nurses (RN & LPN), Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Physicians, Chiropractors, and Specialists.

Qualifications: Unrestricted Iowa license; malpractice insurance or VHCPP coverage; experience preferred.

Frequency: At least once a month for two hours, during clinic hours.

Pharmacists & pharmacy staff

Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, and Pharmacy Assistants.

Qualifications: Licensed pharmacists & technicians; experience preferred.

Frequency: At least once a month · flexible scheduling available.

Insurance: Licensed volunteers must carry personal liability insurance. If you don't, coverage is available through the Volunteer Health Care Provider Program (VHCPP) via the Iowa Department of Public Health — contact us for details. Our patients need specialists too!

Dental volunteers

Dentists

Qualifications: Unrestricted Iowa license; malpractice or VHCPP coverage.

Frequency: At least once a month, as schedule permits — on site or in your own office.

Dental hygienists

Qualifications: Unrestricted Iowa license; malpractice or VHCPP coverage.

When: As available, during dental clinics.

Dental assistants

Qualifications: Unrestricted Iowa license; malpractice or VHCPP coverage.

When: As available, during dental clinics.

Other opportunities

Administrative assistant

Filing, copying, phone calls, and various administrative tasks.

Frequency: At least once a month, during administrative hours.

Receptionist

Greet patients, schedule appointments, and assist with front-desk tasks.

Frequency: At least twice a month, during administrative or clinic hours.

Prayer volunteers

Pray side by side with patients — we strive to offer prayer support to everyone seen at the clinic.

Qualifications: A committed Christian, comfortable praying with others, who has completed prayer-support training and been a local church member 6+ months.

One-time group projects

Bring your church group or friends for cleaning, painting, providing volunteer snacks, and more. Contact Berlinda →

Board member

Provide governance to ensure our mission is fulfilled. The board meets the 2nd Tuesday of odd months, 6–8 p.m.

Qualifications: A committed Christian who upholds our Statement of Faith & Values, 18+, with experience in nonprofit governance, technology, HR, community connections, or fundraising.
