We hope you’ll consider a nursing role at His Hands Free Clinic where we treat patients with care, hear their concerns, and demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Interview patients, record vital signs, and maintain detailed records
- Perform select routine laboratory tests and communicate results to patients
- Assist providers in exam rooms with procedures and communication
- Educate patients on improving their health and obtaining necessary equipment
- Supervise, orient, and guide volunteer nurses
- Ensure providers have appropriate supplies for patient care
- Call patients with lab/x-ray results and provide follow-up care as needed
- Clean, maintain, and stock exam rooms
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide excellent patient care
- Provide medication room coverage when necessary
- Triage patients as necessary
- Read clinic-related emails, attend meetings, and stay informed of updates
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Be a committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior an
- Experience in patient care and clinical operations
- Have an active and current unrestricted Iowa registered nursing license
- Be self-motivated, dependable, and responsible
- Possess excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
- Comfort in using interpreters to communicate with diverse patient populations
- Organizational skills to maintain records and manage supplies effectively
- Be flexible with daily responsibilities.
- Agree with and be willing to uphold the clinic’s Statement of Faith and Statement of Values
- Be respectful of the God-given dignity of all persons
Physical Requirements:
- Stoop, kneel, crouch and reach overhead
- Maneuver throughout the clinic
- Be on your feet for long periods of time – up to 4,000 steps per shift
- Lift 25 pounds
Reports to: Medical Clinic Coordinator
Hours: ~ 25 (Tuesdays 9-7; Wednesdays & Thursdays 9-4:30)
